Lambton Cottage
Self catering in the Esk Valley
Lambton Cottage is in the peaceful hamlet of Esk Valley, overlooking the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Recently refurbished to a high standard the cottage is double glazed, centrally heated and sleeps four.
On the first floor the master bedroom with its double bed commands a fantastic view of the railway. Oak furniture, a full length mirror, hairdryer and large hanging space make this a home from home.
The second bedroom has a triple sleeper bunk which consists of a small double with a standard single above. Perfect for couples or for kids (children must be at least 6 years old to sleep in the top bunk) A bespoke hanging rail, shelf and a small nightstand provide storage space.
The first floor bathroom has WC, basin, a roll top bath tub and a heated towel rail.
For those with smaller children there is a travel cot, stairgate and high chair available.
On the ground floor there is spacious and well equipped kitchen/diner with stone floor which provides a bright airy place to eat. The kitchen contains all the crockery and utensils you will need for your self catering holiday plus a washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a clothes airer, iron and ironing board should you need them.
An oak dining table seats four and after your meal you can relax on the the sofa in the other end of the kitchen and watch the stars through the Velux window. There is an additional bathroom with WC, basin and shower.
With views of the railway you can make yourself comfortable in the lounge in front of the stunning open fire where you can watch Freesat TV or browse the large collection of DVDs, books and games. There is wifi throughout and an Amazon Fire TV stick so you can even bring your Netflix subscription with you.
The private garden to the rear has a large summer house with electric and a table and chairs if you want to use it for meals or for crafting in the open air. There is parking for one car. The owners live just next door so are on hand to help if you need them. Up to two well behaved dogs welcome by arrangement.
